Description
The clear, pale blue, cobalt-based glaze contrasts with the orange flashing on the unglazed glay at the base of this small vase. Flashing occurs where the flames of the wood fire react with the clay, creating a bright orange effect where the fire actively licked the pot. The shape is based off a traditional Korean oil jar.
Fired in the wood kiln at the Community Arts Center in Wallingford, PA.
2.25 inches high, 3.5 inches wide.
Lead-free glaze.
